 Our positions offer you the chance to gain experience into an area of interest, or alternatively to bring your existing knowledge, skills and expertise to one of the country’s foremost NHS Trusts for teaching, tertiary and trauma care Successful applicants will require excellent communication skills as well as being able to demonstrate a caring, compassionate and person- centered approach. Experience is preferable, but not necessary as full training will be provided. Please note you will not be able to work in our acute or specialist areas without relevant experience.

BSUH healthcare assistants are often the first person our patients and their families encounter and form an important part of the support network we offer our patients during their hospital stay. Due to this you will be required to work closely with family and carers as well as a wide range of health care professionals.

In return we can offer you the opportunity to gain experience in venepuncture, cannulation and catheterisation as well as ingoing support within other clinical skills associated with your role.
