An exciting opportunity has arisen for a band 6 nurse on Albion and Lewes ward.   We are seeking hard working, enthusiastic and self motivated nurses with cardiac experience to work in this busy unit that provides specialist high quality cardiology care and surgical care.    

Lewes is a 20 bedded Interventional Cardiology/Medical ward. Albion ward consists of 6 single rooms which includes both NHS and private Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery patients. There is also a 5 bedded Acute Chest Pain Unit.

You will be responsible for delivering high quality nursing care that supports our departmental aim in providing an effective service that encompasses and responds to the needs of cardiac patients. You must be a motivated and enthusiastic individual who enjoys working as part of a friendly team and demonstrate a keen interest in developing nurse led initiatives.

We can offer a comprehensive induction and orientation programme in a supportive environment and many training opportunities to the successful applicant. We actively encourage staff to maintain and continue their clinical and academic progression.

We are looking for an experienced nurse with proven clinical, management and leadership qualities who is committed to developing nursing skills for this specialist area. As Deputy Sister/charge nurse you would work alongside the Ward Manager and other Senior Nurse’s as an integral member of the ward management team, influencing quality, patient care and service development.
